PASIFIKA ACTIVISTS TAKE THE WORLD'S BIGGEST PROBLEM TO THE HIGHEST COURT
Pasifika climate leaders made history by winning their campaign to take climate change to the highest court in the world this year.
The campaign calls for legal consequences for big polluters and to protect the human rights of those most impacted by climate change.
Now, we need the Australian government to submit a strong case for climate action for the court to consider.
Will you sign the petition urging Foreign Minister Penny Wong to support this ground-breaking campaign at the world’s highest court?

This petition has been handed into the Hon. Penny Wong's office in Parliament House, Canberra. The deadline for the Australian Federal Government to support this case is March 22nd 2024.
You can continue to support the Pacific campaign by demanding the Australian Government listens to Pacific communities and stops new coal, oil and gas projects here.
Climate change is a very real threat to the human rights of many around the world
For decades, the world’s biggest polluters have been getting away with recklessly destroying our world for profit with no legal consequences.
On the other side, the Pacific region contributes less than 0.03% of the world’s total emissions but is among the most vulnerable to the impacts of climate change.
It’s simply not fair.

Activists from the Pacific are fighting back and are on the brink of changing international climate laws, which should make polluters finally legally accountable and protect the human rights of people affected by climate change.
Born in Vanuatu, this ground-breaking legal campaign to take the climate crisis to the world’s highest court has gone from grassroots to global, with the support of 132 countries in the UN.
Will you ask the Australian Government to support this ground breaking legal campaign?
Now it’s time for the Australian government to step up, show support for the Pacific and submit a strong case for climate action to the International Court of Justice.
